Like everyone else, I have a stack of books I’d like to read in 2024. Here are the two I’ve picked for January. They are books that I’ve already purchased and have been on my pile for awhile. Maybe this will be the year they get read!

First up is Tiny Habits by BJ Fogg, PhD.
A quote from the book:
“In order to design successful habits and change your behaviors, you should do three things. Stop judging yourself. Take your aspirations and break them down into tiny behaviors. Embrace mistakes as discoveries and use them to move forward.”
I will be reading this for intellectual self care.
The second book on my list is The Life You Long for by Christy Nockels.
A quote from the back of the book:
“In The Life You Long For, Christy shows us how to let go of hustle and achievement and instead find our identity in the quiet center of God’s love.”
I will be reading this as part of my spiritual self care. My word for the month of January is “rest” and this book fits that theme!
Like all my self care plans, I will find space in my day, week, and month to read. I will put these in my planner so that I make sure I get the self care I need.
Let me know in the comments if you’ve read either of these books. I’d also love to know what you are reading in January.
